Black Bean Hummus

This isn’t MY personal recipe, but someone gave it to me a long time ago and I liked it enough to share 🙂

  • 16 ounces black beans, drained
  • 16 ounces butter beans, drained
  • 1 1/2 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin (0ptional)
  • 2 tablespoons tahini (sesame seed paste)
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 dash salt and black pepper, to taste


Place all ingredients  in food processor… blend until smooth. Cover and chill.

Makes about 3 cups (18 servings)

    This would be good in rolled in a low carb tortilla with some cheese and salsa. Ha, now it’s my recipe!!
